Hotel Hostalillo in Tamariu is committed in its actions to maintaining sustainable tourism development by complying with the requirements set out in the BIOSPHERE programme, through the following principles, based on the World Charter for Sustainable Tourism + 20 and the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations.
- Respect for the environment at environmental and social level.
- Minimise the consumption of energy and natural resources, through energy efficiency, the use of renewable energies and water use systems.
- Reduce waste through recycling or reuse.
- Opt for the use of recycled materials or biodegradable products.
- Foster stable employment and its quality, motivating and training our staff by raising awareness of the principles of Responsible Tourism.
- Prioritise the purchase of local products with a local identity.
- Encourage the development of the destination by fostering local culture and the natural environment.
- Try to implement accessibility improvements in our hotel and to collaborate with the organisations that foster the implementation thereof in the natural environment and in the services of the area.
- Assume commitments to continuous improvement in all areas of sustainability: social, economic and environmental, as well as customer satisfaction.
To this end, projects for future extensions of facilities or activities will be subject to criteria of sustainability and efficiency in the use of resources.
This Responsible Tourism Policy will be updated as new sustainability objectives are adopted.
